Days 5-7 Albuquerque, New Mexico

[Kalon]  From Sedona we retraced our steps up Oak Creek Canyon and drove to Albuquerque where we stayed for three nights.  A long-time bridge partner of mine (formerly from Santa Barbara) lives here now and I had arranged some time with him hiking and playing bridge.
Our Hotel (nice place but way understaffed)

Our first day here I went hiking with my friend Tom and his sister and brother-in-law.   We took the tram up to the top of the Sandias (15 minute ride that moves one from a desert environment to an alpine one.)

We then hiked more or less along the crest of the mountains  on a 4 mile loop.

After hiking Tom and I played bridge at his bridge club (nice club) and then we all had dinner together.  The following day was more restful with one additional bridge event in the afternoon.

[Karen]
We had accumulated quite a few dirty clothes so I spent the day washing clothes and sleeping and reading. At 5pm met Kalon in the Nativo Lobby and had a happy hour daiquiri.

Have basically been a bridge widow the last couple of days so I am looking forward to tomorrow when we return to our travels.
